Across Vermont, families are facing obstacles to access childcare. This bill will subsidize childcare for low income families, allowing them to better support themselves. It is time the state oversees quality childcare for all by:

• Setting guidelines for how child educators are paid.

• Expanding eligibility for the Child Care Financial Assistance Program.

• Relieving financial burden to help Vermonters start families. 

Research shows expanding access to childcare increases emotional wellness and academic success for Vermont students.
